Privately Funded Grants Making
Greer Foundation Fellowship
About the Foundation
The Jason Sheppard Greer and Lucy Kim Greer Foundation for the Arts was established in memory of Jason and Lucy Greer, former residents of Bloomington. Jason graduated as valedictorian from Bloomington High School North in 1989, and later from Dartmouth College with an honors degree in creative writing. Lucy was a ceramic artist with degrees from Barnard College and the City College of New York. Both Jason and Lucy pursued their art at the John Waldron Arts Center in the mid-1990s.
About the Fellowship Awards
The Greer Artist Fellowship Awards are designed to strengthen and enhance the region’s artistic community by providing recognition and direct financial support for mid-career artists. The Fellowships are intended to significantly advance the work of artists in ceramics and creative writing whose work is of exceptional artistic merit, who have already proven their abilities, and are at a career stage that is beyond emerging. Four grants of $1,000 each (two in ceramics and two in creative writing) will be awarded. more
