Multi-media public relations for individual artists: from HGTV to popular magazines
Join BAAC’s Artists After Hours on August 6 when we present a regional art quilter with a growing national name, Daren Pitts-Redman. She will be speaking on a broad range of public relations topics from publicity campaigns to working with different forms of media including television, magazines and the web.
Drawing upon her background in public relations and her personal experiences, Daren will uncover step by step nontraditional approaches to gaining exposure in different arts markets. She will also share with participants her recently published articles and art quilts that will be on display at the Waldron during the month of August. Don’t miss this opportunity as this artist from Brown County shares her tactics to successful individual artist publicity.
Date: Wednesday, August 6
Time: 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Location: Rose Firebay, Waldron Arts Center
122 South Walnut Street, Bloomington
Artists After Hours
In response to requests from artists, the BAAC offers a free supportive networking group, Artists After Hours.
Community artists of all disciplines are invited to regularly engage in lively discussion. The program is modeled after the Chamber's successful after hours events and features invited speakers to address different topics of interest.
Designed specifically for artists to communicate, Artists After Hours provides the structure of a monthly forum, encouraging unity through an open exchange of knowledge, resources and personal experience.
